Please show the results of;
$ cat /proc/asound/modules
Thanks for looking at it! # cat /proc/asound/modules 0 snd_virtuoso 1 snd_hda_intel 2 snd_hda_intel I don't know how relevant this is but right now Leap-15.5 Pulse-Audio-Volume-Control/Configuration shows only GK107 HDMI Audio Controller Profile: OFF Built-in Audio Profile: Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output NB. I have no use for any of the above, if I had my way I'd cut the wires. The reason I went to soundcards was the horror that the motherboard bundled 3.5mm connections are with their constant intermittent connections when recording. The mobo BTW is some aging Asus Crosshair-IV. Other PAVC setup pages are full of HDMI and JACK entries though Jack isn't even running. The STX-II card doesn't seem to exist. This has been a real issue with Leap, especially when I have BOTH XONAR cards plugged-in (a practice I abandoned due to the length and number of entries). The referenced Linux Musicians link is ReSOLVED, at least for the time being :-) The Suse VS. rosegarden issue changes every day especially in Leap (maybe because of the card issue). Everything 'sound for music' in Suse is quite unstable, things work for for a while then comes some upgrade and it's back in the ditch again. Today I get no segfault, rosegarden starts (not tried), only this: ~ rosegarden Cannot lock down 86611866 byte memory area (Cannot allocate memory) Cannot use real-time scheduling (RR/5)(1: Operation not permitted) JackClient::AcquireSelfRealTime error [AlsaDriver] setCurrentTimer(): WARNING: using system timer with only 250 Hz resolution!
