Hello,
I am preparing to run an application that requires the new threading in glibc 2.1 so am about to upgrade to lx_glibc-2.1.131-7.i386.rpm from SuSE's ftp site.
Not sure where exactly you saw that particular version
Are there any potential problems I should look for? I'm worried about possible incompatability problems with existing SuSE packages (now running OK with globc-2.0.7) and a the newer library.
If in fact the above upgrade you mention does exist. You should have very minimal problems upgrading on an existing glibc system. There are bound to be a few minor incompatabilities. But as I havn't downloaded the source for newer glibc's I don't have the README files to tell you whats what. -- S.Toms - tomas@primenet.com - <A HREF="http://www.primenet.com/~tomas</A">http://www.primenet.com/~tomas</A> S.u.S.E. The simple fact of the matter is that female oysters through their living habits cast out large amounts of seed and the male oysters cast out large amounts of fertilization ...
