[opensuse] Cinelerra on OS 12.1

I'm new to openSUSE, and Linux in general, and am having trouble with the audio visualization in Cinelerra. When I was taught how to use Cinelerra the file we used showed the audio track under the video, so that we could see where there was and wasn't audio. However, I never thought to ask how you make that show up. I have the bar where it should be, and I can hear the audio, but I get no visualization of the audio. I've tried searching, but I can't seem to come up with the correct wording to get an answer.
