Hi You can also run "kappfinder", that searches the HD and places the newly found SW into KDE menu.. It is not perfect program, but sometimes it helps a lot. Jaska.

I've installed two programs and I can't seem to find them on the KDE menu. I have used YaST to install TuxPaint and then apt-get (apt4rpm) just now to install the Bluefish HTML editor.

I can't seem to find where their menu entries go. I can keep making links on my desktop, but I can see that it will quickly get cluttered.
