:-)))))) I'm in the process of saving my pennies for a Nikon D50 :-) I take it that it works fine in Linux then?
Yes.
Yeah, my mom has some uber-expensive digital SLR for her work. She just simply plugs the camera in and it shows up on Konqueror. I've taught her how to cut and paste the files over to her hard drive. She's then learned how to make a CD of the files using K3B.
Now if I can only teach her CUPS admin functions for when her printer messes up....
...nevermind, that's hopeless.

Having looked at some prices I'm not too far off. I can get a D50 with an 18 - 55mm lens together with a second lens of 55 - 300mm all for just over £500UK Which is not a bad price and it includes VAT (sales,GST or purchase tax). Now I just need to get rid of my two other Nikons and the old Olympus OM10. Trouble is, them being 35mm film I'm not going to get an awful lot for them :-((( shame because they are superb cameras. -- ============================================== I am only human, please forgive me if I make a mistake it is not deliberate. ============================================== PLEASE DON'T drink and drive it's not clever, it's just stupid.
