Thanks Houghi !! This was all the information I needed. I really did'nt understand the strategy of Novell for this SuSE release. I read all the stuff on their downloading site, but the material there presented the difference in downloading the dist or buying it was a matter of printed doc. Now I know better, and also have some understanding of how Novell is going to gain some profit from this release also. /Fredrik On Sat, 2005-10-08 at 00:48 +0200, houghi wrote:

Hi,
After downloading the latest version of SuSE (I've been using it since 6.4), I was for the 1:st time missing some of the programs that I usually use.
1) Postgresql server 2) Zope 3) ncftp 4) Scribus <snip> What do the rest of you think of this matter?
I think you should either buy the boxed version that has those programs or install them via the website.
There are one or two or three or four or ... more programs that are not on the CD, but are on the DVD and therefore on the mirrors: http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/tip/16076.html
