Charlie There is a boot.ini file in Win2K, it is just that it is hidden. In the Windows Explorer go to Tools then Folder Options. Click on the View tab. Make sure that you un click (decoche?) the Do not show hidden files and folders box as well as the Hide protected operating system files box. You should now be able to see boot.ini. Remember to change the file attributes. It is read only, you will not be able to edit it unless you change this attribute. From your e-mail address I guess you are French. If you find this explanation a bit too difficult to follow drop me an e-mail and I will try and translate it for you. I'm just a bit lazy at the moment.
Cheers
Thanks for your answer, the file is here but it doesn't solve my problem. So here it is : On my computer ther are HD. On the first one there are partitions : hde1 win98 hde5 win2k hde6 my files On the second linux suse 7.0 hdg1 /boot hdg2 /home hdg3 / The HD are hde and hdg because they are on a ultra DMA 66 card. The problem is I can't install lilo in the MBR because first disk is not hda. So I need a boot disk to boot linux. I've try to use the boot.ini file of win2k but it doesn't work (it stop after LI) How can I boot my 3 OS whitout a floppy disk ? Thanks Charlie Ti
