I am looking into getting a SCSI tape backup drive. Checking the SuSE hardware data base, it lists only the HP Colorado Tape Drive as being fully supported. Is any one using another brand of tape drive that works? I am looking for one that can be installed and not have to do any hacking to get it working.
The BRU web site (http://www.bru.com) has a pretty good library of devices that their product works with on Linux; which means that most of them are supported by Linux/GNU tools.

I think that this particular model has been obsoleted by Exabyte; but when I want to find things like this I can usually do it at Ebay. I use the exabyte with several backup software solutions and my SuSE 6.3 box. Works quite well on an adaptec 2930 u2w controller.
