[opensuse] dolphin not updating directory contents

Howdy, I am seeing a problem with dolphin where, sometimes if I delete a sub- directory from a bash shell that directory still appears in the dolphin view. If I go up the file hierarchy in dolphine the deleted directory (or file) still appear but are unavailable. Only if I start a new dolphin window does it show the correct directory content.
