hi,
OS's partitioner installs RAID with metadata superblock version 1.0, by default.
from cmd line, i can easily create/install RAID with other versions -- e.g., "super 1.2".
@install, however, using partitioner, how/where is the metadata version set? specifically, if i want to install with v1.2 -- where's that specified?
i've likely missed an obvious setting ... :-/
thanks.
What is the difference between the different metadata versions ? Is there a comparison or description somewhere ? For 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2, 'man mdadm' shows some differences in the location of the metadata, but is that it ? And what are the advantages ?
