Now this is just silly. The base (whole of 9.0) was just added to apt. Now I have over 1031 pkgs being upgraded because the packages in base are newer then the cd versions. The updated packages were not in update as they most likely just should have been but now it looks like pretty much an entire system upgrade. WOW! Isn't this just silly.
Ben, you should now that if you would diff the changelogs of this packages, you will not find more changes than CD set + updates. But if there is a fix for one package, we rebuild everything which depend on it.
I was just being cranky and ranting a bit. It's been this way since I started using apt with 8.0 :) I just wanted to warn those who added the base directory that they were in for a large download. :) You know by now that sometimes I just sound off. ;) -- Ben Rosenberg ---===--- #147972 ---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org -- Why do we bother with a suicide watch when someone is on deathrow?
