Hello, The fact that Mesa has also been uploaded to Packman has generated a lot of speculation, so I'll elaborate. I think that the reason why Mesa was also uploaded to Packman is to make it clear that Mesa is related to video codecs. BUILD_ORIG is one of the rpm macros specific to openSUSE, with a default value of 0, which is the same for openSUSE and Packman. This is not surprising since the same rpm files are used in the build process. Now, it is claimed that only AMD gpu users will be affected by the Mesa change, but not Intel or NVIDIA gpu users. But, I have my doubts. To begin with, are you enjoying videos encoded in h264, h265, or vc1 on openSUSE system? Because all the multimedia-related packages provided by openSUSE do not allow the use of patent-related codecs. Here is a H264 video test site, please just try; https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm2554698 Regards. --- ┏━━┓彡 野宮 賢 mail-to: m.nomiya+suse @ gmail.com ┃\/彡 ┗━━┛ "A bachelor’s degree still holds prestige as a ticket to the middle class, but its value has received increasing scrutiny.
