Thanks for the link above. I did not look at it before.
anyway you are far from this maximum
Before I started to record, I set "Temporary files directory" in the preferences to the partition with enough free space (I don't dare to say plenty, as 5-10 GBs is not plenty nowadays).
should be enough At the beginning of recording
audacity reported ~7 hours remaining recording time.
looks good I was not there when
audacity stopped recording. I don't know what made audacity finish recording,
did you look at the system logs? could it be a power (AC) failure? is the computer a laptop or a tower with UPS? a power failure could affect the other part of the recording link (but you should have recorded blank in this case) I frequently do 5-6h recording, but not with computer/audacity (I use a zoom H2 device). Audacity records by small chuncs and is not hit by the large file problem as long as it runs you should,if possible, try again to record (dummy) just to see if audacity stops again after a similar time, may be there is something in your install or hardware uncommon? gook luck :-) jdd -- http://www.dodin.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
