Hello Ben, i just installed SO 5.0 earlier this evening, although I didn't get the same type of error, I did get a bad reference to some variable in the old libc library. I took out the old libc directory in my ld.so.conf file in /etc and included the new library installed with the glibc2 package (in my case I installed it in /opt/Office50/lib). Upon doing this (after issuing ldconfig of course) the rest of the install went smoothly. Just a thought... Brian Kalstad
