Hi,
I just installed JBuilder 4 on my SuSE 7.0 box, I wonder if
No problems, runs like a dream, you do need a bucket load of memory though, but that is the same with most Java apps.
Memeory ? like how much ? 64 , 96 , 128 , or 256 , or more and what kind of cpu are you using ?
They recommend 128Mb, but I have yet to find and 'GUI' Java app, on any platform that performs satisfactory with less than 256Mb. As for CPU speed, I don't think that really comes into play until you have got plenty of RAM and a fast disk an eliminated those bottlenecks. I can see a lot, if any difference, between a 400Mhz and an 800Mhz on low-medium end systems. Cheers Phil
