YES! I would also like to see LaTeX broken down into much smaller packages. I installed it on a notebook with 4 or 5 diskettes so I know it can be done.
4. Xenon- an excellent and lightweight text editor for x...think notepad for linux. Very cool.

8. Games Doom Xmame- the best emulator is finally as good in linux as in win95.
I'd say Descent, but you need the registered game files (*.PIG? *.HOG? I forget).
