Hi,
Can you please remind me how to set chown so that it automatically applies itself to all files in a directory as they are added / created?
Is there a direct option or must I periodically run a cron job?
The specific answer is cron. But, you may be able to accomplish your underlying goal with ACLs (access control lists). I co-wrote a basic howto a couple years ago that may help you understand the power of ACLs In particular read section 6 and see if that relates to your need. http://en.opensuse.org/How_to_share_directories_between_groups_of_users_usin...
