The really fustrating part was when I tried to remove btfs and use xfs, the install failed, in that I couldn't log inot gdm. I know it is unfair, but I am feeling that the people making the installer have lost there handle on the software and it seems to be unpredicable.
Ruben, I never install on butterfs, and installing on xfs, ext4 works flawlessly. Installing on pre-formatted filesystems also works, although ISTR an issue with getting those added to fstab.
this kind of complexity is exactly the kind of thing that one doesn't need, especailly for an install with three partitions /swap / and /home (and now also /boot and /boot/EFI and /bios and this is really getting to be a PIA)
