I have been trying to install Opensuse 12.1 but I can't key in anything. It seems to ignore anything I do on the keyboard. I can't move the pointer to install. I am using a HP keyboard thru a KVM 4 port. I am trying to put it on a system that works fine on 11.4.
At what point does that happen? Does the keyboard work in the first boot screen of the DVD?
Not OpenSUSE but I was helping a friend with their computer a week or so ago and had a somewhat similar thing happen. Your KVM/keyboard don't happen to be USB do they? If so, and you have one, try an old PS2 style keyboard. On that particular system the bios did not load USB "drivers" [ My diagnosis - not an expert opinion ] so a USB keyboard wouldn't work until the system was fully booted.
Thanks! It started working last evening. I don't know why but I'm glad. Bob R -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
