2) How do I go about setting up two domains (on DNS, like www.larkhavengolf.com and www.gamingsolutions.com ) because I need it to work with sendmail, apache, proftp, and qpopper.
Do you mean HOSTING the dns, or setting up the various programs to use them? BIND has support for multiple domains, you'll just have to build a new zone file, and add it to your BIND configuration. If it is application related, each one would address the issues separately I assume.
5)What is php good for, can someone point me to some docs about it?
PHP is an awesome scripting language used for designing various web-based applications. I have built some fairly interesting stuff in PHP. I think it's a very powerful scripting language. I'm working on a big PHP project as we speak. Once it's ready, I'll send the URL!
6)On our company network we have a 1.5 mbps Adsl with a static ip, and we are a web server, http server , and pop/smtp server, the bandwith is running out and I was wondering how much improvement would we see if we set up squid.
Depends on where you are looking for gains. SQUID will keep your Internal WebSurfing traffic down because it will cache various items. However, it will not reduce the traffic from external users into your network. There are some products out there that do a great job of reducing HTTP traffic needed between client and server (http://www.fineground.com), however they come with limitations, and cost a pretty penny at times.
