No, I just selected the CD and started playing from it. Must be operator error. I have amarok running, icon in the tray. I pop in a CD, nothing happens. Before installing amarok it would ask if I wanted open with vlc or file manager. Then I open amarok, click "Play media" and select the audio cd device.
That's what happened here too. The same choices popped up and I ignored them. I had to go into Amarok to play the CD. However, as I've never used it to play a CD before, I have no previous experience to compare with.
Ditto - I used to use Kaffeine for CDs. Well, when it works for you, it's obviously my fat fingers getting in the way.
XFCE here, 15.0. I put an audio CD in the tray, nothing happens. It is possible that I set preferences to do nothing, I don't remember. I don't want to play CDs, I rip them first. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.0 x86_64 at Telcontar)
