My "Graphics card and Monitor" icon in YaST appears to have disappeared on me since about 2-3 weeks ago and I am unable to figure out how to get it back.
I have not changed anything significantly on my system, just the usual YaST Online Updates.
I'm running OpenSuSE 11.2 with KDE and while I can still run sax2 manually, any help with restoring that "Graphics Card & Monitor" option would be highly appreciated. I run an old ATI card and setting the Xorg parameters from there was really great for me.
It sounds strange. AFAIK openSUSE 11.2 YaST never had "Graphics card and Monitor" icon.
It did/does if you start up the desktop applet KRandrTray.
I have running krandrtray (it is located in my system tray). Still I can't find "Graphics card and Monitor" icon in YaST control center. In which group should it be? Am I missing a yast package? Or KDE3 can be the reason?
Thanks, Istvan
I think it was a KDE3 thing. Its really daft not having all the config programs in one place. System Settings should have one icon for screen that allows access to all screen related items as most non-tech users know "screen" for everything related to what they see on the monitor. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
