i am having problems with getting an xterm to adopt the name I give it using the "-T" and "-n" properties on the command line.
it seems to always use the title of:
<username> on <hostname>: <current_directory> and the icon gets the title of <hostname>
Are you using the tcsh? If so, an `unalias cwdcmd' should help. cwdcmd is automatically run when changing directories. It's defined in /etc/csh.cshrc and adjusts your xterm title.
