Since updating my box recently (via apt-get), my console log shows the following messages: insmod: a module named sg already exists insmod: insmod char-major-21 failed insmod: a module named sg already exists insmod: insmod char-major-21 failed insmod: a module named st already exists insmod: insmod char-major-9 failed kernel: ALSA ../alsa-kernel/core/pcm_lib.c:121: Unexpected hw_pointer value (stream = 1, delta: -152, max jitter = 1024): wrong interrupt acknowledge? I don't know what modules sg & st are, or what char-major numbers mean. I suspect that the insmod & kernel messages are related to some thing in the sound system. In spite of this, my box appears to be working OK, but I would like to stop these messages appearing. Can anyone help? TIA Dave
