Know that it is a topic from time to time but googling the list did not bring a solution. I started a print job with the wrong printer and stopped the printer. Went to the Kjobviewer and put the printjob in the trash can. Remembered that the printer should be killed two or three times in order to flush out the remains of the job. Did not work this time.
How get I rid of the remains?
Try starting the printer again first and then delete the print job. In the future (as root): lpstat -o to find the job number cancel <job number> to cancel the print job might work better. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 "The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners." -Ernst Jan Plugge
