I don't consider having to reinstall the 12.1 release a problem, it is just easier for me to start again then to send out a lot of messages to the list trying to get a problem fixed. I want to thank you for providing the repository, and I look forward to when you get the bugs worked out so I can use awesome and pekwm.
I am using awesome daily and even if there are small issues none effects the usability of it.
I did try to install awesome and pekwm on a second computer, a desktop that I have here at home. I had the same results as I did on my laptop, neither will start and after crashing I end up back at the login screen.
Since you do not mind reinstalls here is what you can do revert back to original X11 related packages DO NOT install anything from my repo. Due to changes in X11 packages currently the X11 packages from my repo are not safe !!! Uninstall all awesome and related packages and reinstall X11 packages from 12.1 ONLY fontconfig libcairo-gobject2 libcairo2 libfreetype6 liboocairo0 libstartup-notification-1-0 libxdg-basedir1 luasec oocairo xorg-x11-libxcb-utils xorg-x11-libs libqt4 and related Once you have a working system install pekwm, only AFTER you had a look at the website and understood what it looks like If you have come that far let me know before even considering to install awesome or anything from my repos
So if there is some data that I may provide you to help you figure out what is going wrong, please ask and I will try to send it to the list for your consideration.
