Ok, for anyone who's interested, I managed to find that the cdj850 driver works with the cdj932c printer. I have the printer on the fileserver which is where I plan on using it and am configuring it for remote, isn't cooperating at all, at which point I will run a slew of tests to determine how compatible the driver is. Anyway, any tricks for getting remote to work> currently I have it configured correctly AFAICT but it doesn't seem to want to except the print job from the clients. The server currently has the printer configured on the paraelle port and accepts print jobs from programs running on the server itself. The client is configured with 'remote' and 'prefilter' options through apsfilters SETUP routine. Anyway, I'm gonna keep playing with this, eventually I'll figure it out but if anyone has any enlightening thoughts on this, please send them my way.

Have you placed the hosts allowed to use the /etc/hosts.lpd ?
