I have a Matrox Millenium II and a ViewSonic G810. Under NT I can set my display to 70Hz refresh, 24-bit color, and 1600 x 1200. Using XF86Setup, when I try to get the card to run 1600 X 1200 at 60Hz and 24-bpp I get ripples of errant pixels running through the test pattern. I can see no way to get this to 70 Hz. Is this a limitation of the driver for this card? Is there a better driver?

Hi Steve, I run Accelerated-X 3.1 on my Millenium I w/8megs and my ViewSonic G800 at 1600x1200 with the following: // // Accelerated-X 3.1, Build 3100 // // Xaccel.ini created at Wed Apr 15 21:15:24 1998 // [FONTPATH] "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/AcceleratedX/fonts/misc/", "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/", "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/", "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/", "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/sharefont", "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/freefont"; [RGBPATH] "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/AcceleratedX/etc/Xrgb"; [SETTINGS] SnfFormat = ISC; [KEYBOARD] Layout = "en_US.xkm"; [MOUSE] Device = "/dev/mouse"; Protocol = PS/2; ChordMiddle = YES; [SCREEN] Board = "matrox/mga-mil8h.xqa"; Monitor = "sfreq/s1600-60.vda"; Depth = 24; EnergyStar = YES; [RESOLUTIONS] 1600x1200; ---------------------------------------------------- I have Accelerated-X 4.1 also and it has full support for the Millenium II.
