My question is how the keyboard schemes are defined/set in vnc (server and client side) and how it is decided that a given pressed character what character will be on the other side. It's seems to me really messy. For example which one is important: the keyboard layout on the client machine or the server machine? Is it affected by desktop manager (KDE3/KDE4/GNOME), etc.
Thanks in advance,
I'm also curious. My Swedish keyboard sometimes simply will not generate the vertical slash (pipe) character when connecting to some systems. I have to cut and paste. No fun. I cannot think it is something on the client side (vncviewer) as it only happens against some remote systems. All of them are running the same version of the server (from Leap 42.3). I've yet to see a pattern. -- Roger Oberholtzer -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
