First off you need a Sound card (Ofcourse :) ) A SoudBlaster 16 would do, but I suggest you look at a newer "better" card. Check postings on this list for suggestions. Other than the sound card, you need a copule of speakers. Make sure they are shielded and for Computer use. Unless ofcourse you want to route your sound to the home stereo! Then Install the card, and make sure the kernel has either modular support for it OR compile a new one with the apropriate drivers. There are some sound howtos in the /usr/doc/howto directory to look at.
