Hi,
I just got a Zoom int. isa 56k dual model 2919 faxmodem. Before that I had a simple telepath 14.4k which used com1, irq4. I shut down my system took out the old modem card. I modified the jumpers on the new Zoom isa card as follows:
1) disable pnp via jumper 2) select com1 via jumper 3) select irq4 via jumper
How about the IO address? Uwe
I thought it would be a simple swap, one modem for the other. My bios has PnP disabled by the way. I swapped my new zoom int. modem in. I booted the system...and...:
wvdialconf tells me there is nothing there!
when I look at proc/ioports I see that com1 and com1 addresses have been assigned to serial(auto). I'm using kernel 2.2.7.
Any reason why when following the above procedure wvdialconf fails to even see anything on com1?
Many Thanks,
Sean
