Isn't it a kernel problem? In my case, after the kernel was updated to 6.4.11, VirtualBox became unusable and I upgraded it as a solution. Now, when I install rosegarden, I get a message that I can't understand, "Performane probledms detected, System timer resolution is too low! I mean, I have added threadirqs to the kernel parameter, so there shouldn't be a problem with system timer resolution.... If you can, why don't you try reverting the kernel to a previous version?
