Hello everybody
What does the following mean
/dev/hda10 has reached maximal mount count.checked forced.
Every time a partition is mounted, a counter is incremented on that partition that counts the number of times it has been mounted. Once it reaches a certain limit, the partition is fscked whether or not it was unmounted cleanly (partitions are not usually checked if they were unmounted cleanly). It's just a precaution to check your disk every now and then in case some errors have crept in. Don't worry, everything's working fine. The counter limit can be changed using tunefs (IIRC). -- David Smith Tel: +44 (0)1454 462380 (direct) STMicroelectronics Fax: +44 (0)1454 617910 1000 Aztec West TINA (ST only): (065) 2380 Almondsbury Home: 01454 616963 BRISTOL Mobile: 07932 642724 BS32 4SQ Work Email: Dave.Smith@st.com Home Email: David.Smith@ds-electronics.co.uk
