Yes you can put BtrFS and its subvolumes on a LV under LVM. That might be the source of your problems.
certainly not. Sorry, Im' not as fluent in English as I would like. What I would say is: I do not use lvm, why should I use subvolumes?
Not fully understanding LVM though not using it enough might account for other difficulties.

comfortable with ReiserFS and Ext4.
I liked a lot reiserfs and now use ext4 as often as I can, I use btrfs on my main computer because it was the default install and I can't convert, and on new demos to learn it, but it's not something that come easily :-(
I have no database on my desktop (none that have meaning), not even on my server
Oh, really? You don't use, for example, Thunderbird or Firefox or Postfix or Dovecot by any chance?
yes, I do, but do not have any speed constrain. My server is oversized and my desktop have no database I really rely on. I don't trust databases not managed by somebody that really know how. jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
