What that means is it only comes with software for windows an mac. You can format the drive to a linux format an use tar to backup >with, are any other linux backup software that comes with suse. I do not use this drive but I have used ones from seagate to copy over files to that I wanted to keep.
I understand that but what i am looking for is software that acts like the WD MyBook software. With a gui and allows you to "see" the files in the backup. So, if i want to restore, say 3 files, i could browse the backup and restore those 3 files to either the original location or a different destination.
Yes such exist. Some free, some pretty cheap. http://www.debianhelp.co.uk/backuptools1.htm Most of those are available for opensuse as well as debian. -- ----------JSA--------- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
