On my new HP 15s-eq2147, because of the lack of an ethernet connection, installing Leap 15.3 from openSUSE-Leap-15.3-NET-x86_64.iso was impossible. So, I had to use openSUSE-Leap-15.3-DVD-x86_64.iso, which does not use internet repositories.
Installing was easy and much faster than from the net, but at the end, KDE did not appear. Pressing F7 shows a black screen only.
Then I tried "startx", but in vain. I have stored the output on http://ariannuccia.de/temp/startx.txt
and the content of ~/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log on http://ariannuccia.de/temp/Xorg.0.log.

As far as I know /some/ support for it is present since kernel 5.11. It is not listed as supported device by Leap 15.3 kernel. You will get non-accelerated framebuffer GUI using nomodeset kernel parameter. You may try kernel from Kernel:stable:Backport (which is currently on 5.13.1). It should support your WiFi and it /may/ support your graphic card. But if you have such problems getting Linux running on this notebook, you should really consider returning it and getting something more Linux friendly.
Please have a look at these two files. Do they contain information for correcting the KDE implementation?
Meanwhile I have access to the internet, thanks to Stephan Hemeier's rtw88-kmp-default-git20210702_k5.3.18_57-lp153.2.2.x86_64.rpm, but I don't know which package to install for making KDE run.
Thanks in advance, Wolfgang
