To write command output to file ?

Hello, Sorry maybe for simple question. How can write into faile output of command. I know command >, but in my case it doesn't help. Maybe the proble is that command requires input ?

command example: ssh -v -v -v admin@host > file.txt Result: All results are on screen and file.txt is epmty. I can view on screen only last debuging info. Thanks, Kestas
