I have the 8 gig ide version , works fine using taper(6.1 distro version suports ide) , It will even work by writing directly to it. However I could not figure out how to rewind it via command line. Hence the use of taper instead of tar. Taper works nicely. remember thise of us cominf from windows cant use the command line without a ton of typos. grin At 04:32 PM 8/26/1999 +0200, Giovanni Cambria wrote:
Hi people
Does anyone know _surely_ if HP Colorado 5GB (compressed)/2.5GB (normal) tape device with IDE i/f is penguin-compatible?? The hardware comp list @Suse is too vague I need an answer in hours, because my corporation is about to buy 40-50 tape backup for linux boxes.
