I had the same problem and found the answer in the S.u.S.E. Support Data Base, called "Trouble with the raw device of lpr" on the SuSE website. Essentially, change one line in /var/lib/apsfilter/filter/raw from eval $DECOMPRESS $PRINT_PS to $DECOMPRESS cat - and that should hopefully fix it. It worked for me. On Sat, 2 May 1998, William G. Since upgrading to 5.2 I have had the following printer problem:
The command lpr -Praw [file] prints the following message: %[ Error: undefined; Offending Command: #include ] % ..... followed by 13 lines of hex dump.
The log file in /var/spool/lpd/.... reads unexpected interpreter error -21 Error object: #include
'#include' is the first word of the file.
This looks to me like a problem with apsfilter, but I am too ignorant to know how to spot and correct it.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

A week has gone by with no reply, which is unusual in this group. Can't anyone help me? There's another posting with the same problem, and there's no reply to that message either.
