Hello :-)
I have more than 20.000 photos online.
just now I have three folders. one private, one public and one for family only
This makes use of approx twice the minimum size (the private one is nearly made of family+public).
All this is on my own server
I have the folders protected by <Directory> directives (there is one "public", one "private" and one "family" directory)
knowing the sort between public and private is done on the folder level (not individual photos), could I use direct links in the public and family directories instead of real copies?
I don't want anybody to be able to see all the images and I'm not sure of what a link can do with <directory> access
I use and like gallery2. It allows to hide directories for general view, provides for direct access by url only, multiple password access, control by user/member.... And, it's free. Look at http://gallery.menalto.com or my site for example, see sig. I can show you some of the privacy features. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
