LS,
I was unpleasantly surprised today after applying the latest updates to 15.1.
I normally share the .mozilla directory between TW and 15.1. Now Firefox under 15.1 start wining and does not let me use the data, add-ons etc in my common .mozilla directory. No, I have to make a whole new profile, which I need to maintain also. Double the effort for the same functionality.
Many packages on 15.1 are already (very) old, but at least it is slightly more stable then TW. So that's my production environment. TW is used for other purposes. But now it takes extra the effort for syncing both .mozilla directories. What's next, same with Thunderbird?

I feel your pain. I just updated 15 and 15.1 and was horrified to find Firefox has jumped version from 60.8esr to 68 -- there are definite incompatibilities with profiles. Bad Juju. It's gotten to the point, it may be worth just installing FF and TB from the mozilla.org ftp page so that updates don't roll in major version change surprises mid-release (which used to be a No No)
15.0 should have gone to FF 60.9.0esr released September 2 instead of jumping all the way to 68. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
