I have to say that I will probably install an own kernel myself anyhow, as many reports tell that suspend2 works better on the T41 than the in-kernel stuff. My other systems are still on 10.0, and it would ease patching and upgrading if I can just use the established processes with the laptop; therefore I'm checking if there is really an advantage in upgrading to 10.1 in that situation. Joachim -- I seem to remember that some who upgraded from either 10.0 or 9.3 could no longer use their built in AC7 56K Modem. The drivers that use to work were not included with 10.1 and they were no longer available for downloading at all (from anywhere). If you use the modem, you will not be a happy camper ... :-(
