Message-Id: <20001202095715Z.fgs@epulse.net> Date: Sat, 02 Dec 2000 09:57:15 GMT From: Francesco Scaglioni <fgs@epulse.net> Subject: wvdial Hi, I asked once before but no joy so shall try again. Despite having the line Carrier Check = no in wvdial.conf I often (most of the time) find that I spend ages getting the message 'waiting for carrier' and then autoredialling. Any suggestions as to what more I should do? Using the same account the kids win95 box dials straight in so I feel sure the problem is at my end. Many Thanks Francesco Herewith wvdial.conf (if it help) Username = xxx@xxxxxx.net Init1 = ATZ Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0 Init3 = ATX4 Compuserve = 0 Init9 = ATM0 Idle Seconds = 1200 ISDN = 0 DialMessage1 = DialMessage2 = # next line added by me = Login = xxx@xxxxx.net Ask Password = 0 Modem = /dev/ttyS1 Password = xxxxxxxx Area Code = Modem Type = Analog Modem Force Address = #next 2 lines added by me = Remote Name = xxx@xxxxxx.net Carrier Check = no WVDialMon Exec = Dial Command = ATDT Phone = 08450798787 Baud = 115200 Auto DNS = 1 Stupid Mode = yes Auto Redial = no New PPPD = yes Init4 = ATM1L1
