Hello The electricity was cut off today while my SuSE8.1 (KDE3.1) system was up and running. The power has since been restored but I can't get my filesystems up and running. (I am currently writing this using my back hard drive...) The error message goes something like this... fsck failed. Please repair manually and reboot. The root system is currently mounted read only. To remount it read-write do mount -n -o remount, rw/ I responsed with the root password and executed the command mount -n -o remount, rw/ No big change. What do I need to do restore / mount my filesystems normally ? I did a man on fsck and I tried fsck -AC but that didn't seem to do much. I would greatly appreciate any help or ideas on this as I don't have a clue on what I need to do.
