I did 11.0 (32) --> 11.2 (64), via DVD.
My worry was the since I am not changing from 11.4, something may not get updated.
Indeed, lot of things were not upgraded in my case, due to a bug: 11.2 dvd upgrade did not use network repos, so I had to review all rpms for incorrect versions and change them. I used: rpm -q -a --queryformat "%{INSTALLTIME}\t%{INSTALLTIME:day} \ %{BUILDTIME:day} %-30{NAME}\t%15{VERSION}-%-7{RELEASE}\t%{arch} \ %25{VENDOR}%25{PACKAGER} == %{DISTRIBUTION} %{DISTTAG}\n" \ | sort | cut --fields="2-" > rpmlist
A backup will indeed be done. I have this madness slated for this weekend.
Good luck :-) - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R.
