Don't know, you have something odd.... I don't have anything like either example: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~pat/OOO.file-dialog.jpg

Now that's what I want to see! I remember some setting somewhere that would allow you to get different dialogs, but for the life of me I can't recall what it was. Further, with the rapid change in both OO and KDE, I'm not sure the old approach is even applicable anymore. I'll keep googling, thanks.
You are coloring the context. Except for the OO version, my KDE install is plain-jane. NO change was necessary to get the display I provided. And afaicr, the same open-file-dialogue I have seen for quite some time. Make a new user and open that session and initiate OpenOffice and check the file-dialogue. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
