How can I track quantity of data in and our of my system?

      I'm trying to find out how many bytes/megabytes is being sent and
received over my network card. Reason for this is because I'm thinking
of getting a GPRS card when I go to Germany for a tradeshow. The company
will charge me $13.00 per MB.
