I have the same problem occasionally. I don't know why. People say I am crazy, but here is what I do. I use the physical switch (or keyboard comb) to switch to airplane mode. It kills both wifi and bluetooth radios. I wait two seconds, and exit airplane mode. System sees the hardware reconnect and sets it up correctly.
