Hi! I use SuSE 9.3. I downloaded the debian sarge dvd image 1, and went to burn it on a DVD+R. This error is almost exactly like k3b's. I just got my DVD+/-RW Duel Layer drive, which burns CDs flawlessly. /dev/hdc is set to 666 with chmod. What is up?? -Steven
Looks like it can not set the writing speed and does not know the size of the media. The recognized media types are stored in the firmware of the drive, so you may try to update the firmware. If this does not help, try with a different media. Cheers Sunny -- Svetoslav Milenov (Sunny)
