-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 Hello, I have a minor issue (probably a bug) with kernel 4.0.0-3 installed two days ago from the kernel repo. The problem is that ping to an unreachable host shows a warning for kernel upgrade. # ping 172.24.24.8 PING 172.24.24.8 (172.24.24.8) 56(84) bytes of data. WARNING: kernel is not very fresh, upgrade is recommended. - From 172.24.24.121: icmp_seq=2 Destination Host Unreachable Can someone else to confirm the same ? Googling about this warning shows that the same error has been reported back in 2002 on the RedHat bugzilla. The ticket however is closed as the error cannot be reproduced with more recent kernels and indeed ping to the same host with 3.11 or 3.12 shows only destination host unreachable starting from icmp_seq=1. Regards, I.
